Novemember 16th is National Button Day! Austin Button Club members Mary Todd and Allie Nelson were on Spectrum TV News to showcase the world of button collecting. Congratulations to our Mary and Allie!
Earlier, in October, Mary had received a button collection interview request from Todd Boatwright for a feature story. Boatwright spent an hour and a half going through Mary’s and her mother’s collection. The interview that followed appeared on Boatwright’s weekend show and was replayed every hour on Spectrum Local News during Satuday, October 26.
Soon after, Mary received another request from Spectrum News to do a studio segment in celebration of National Button Day, November 16th. Within just a few minutes, Mary and Allie did a fantastic job explaining this wonderful activity we treasure.
